ALL SAINTS, Nelson.

All Saints was consecrated on 11th November, 1868. It was soon to be enlarged in 1884 and then gain the addition of a tower in 1889.  Originally erected as a wooden structure it was later roughcast in 1953.  Unlike the usual Gothic designs favoured by Bishop Hobhouse, Bishop Suter followed Florentine design for the building of this church.

It has been designated a Class B rating with the Historic Places Trust.
